Vanessa serves as Director of Client Services & Community Engagement at Motherhood Beyond Bars, where she champions the needs of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated mothers. With over a decade of experience supporting justice-impacted women, she is deeply committed to helping mothers reunite with their children and rebuild their lives with dignity.

As a skilled paralegal in criminal, family, and business law, Vanessa understands the legal and emotional barriers mothers face during reentry. Fluent in Spanish and ASL, and certified as a Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator, she provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that honors each mother's journey.

Her leadership centers mothers at every step, connecting them to support, advocating for their families, and helping them build new futures rooted in healing and hope. For Vanessa, this work is personal: helping mothers rebuild isn't just about navigating systems—it's about restoring families and futures.
